# Soilême

A grand magical city, nearly as renowned as Waterdeep for its magical influence.

The city rests on a large chunk of earth and rock, with waterfalls cascading off its edges into misty clouds beneath it. > In the center of the city stands a tall white spiraled tower, ornate and glowing faintly, its upper roof shingled in the same shimmering rainbow scales, clean and smokeless, with no chimney.

> At the far edge of the city, a low stone smithy workshop with a thatched or timber roof houses a traditional furnace: a squat stone hearth built into the wall, glowing with orange coals, with a short, wide chimney stack venting dark smoke just above the roofline. Outside, a heavy anvil sits on a wooden stump, with bellows, hammers, and horseshoes hung nearby, and barrels stacked against the wall — this is the only source of smoke in the city.
