### Dragon Days
Festival where the citizens celebrate the dragons.
1. **First Contact**: get a drake to obey a single command (sit, speak, etc.)
1. Minor prize (greater potion of healing + potion of animal speaking)
2. **Riding**: Ride the drake through an obstacle course
1. Medium prize (*Festival Drake Token*: +1 to skill checks against dragons)
3. **2v2**: Player + Drake vs Challenger + Drake (you lose if *either* you or the drake goes down)
1. Big prize (*Drake Bond Amulet*)
2. Bracket tournament? Anyone who participates has to fight to the top.
#### **Drake Bond Amulet** _Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)_
This masterwork amulet is carved from ancient drake bone and inlaid with scales from a legendary drake. It bears the festival's grand champion seal.
**Properties:**
- **Drake Tongue**: You can communicate simple concepts telepathically with any dragon within 60 feet, even if you don't share a language.
- **Champion's Call**: Once per long rest, you can summon a loyal guard drake to fight alongside you for 10 minutes. The drake appears within 30 feet of you and obeys your commands. It disappears when reduced to 0 hit points or when the duration ends.
### Hooks
- Some of the monsters from [[Dragonspire]] have recently started wandering out, which has never happened before.
- Some of the local priests have become fanatics, assaulting anyone who doesn't worship [[Dragonspire]]. The cause appears to be magical.
- A magical aura emanating from [[Dragonspire]] has been increasing over the past month.
- The poison affecting [[Slateford]] (and Phandalin, etc) is coming from this town.
- Rumors can lead the party to the **Herbal District** on the East end of the city.
